Growth & Investment Strategy
Halio Capital Inc invests in both conventional and unconventional oil and gas upstream, producing properties with upside potential in further exploration and development of existing properties. With a highly skilled and experienced in-house engineering team, the Halio is currently upgrading facilities worldwide, and expanding existing projects. In addition to its investments, acquisitions and project expansion, the Company also employs its own commodity trading division.
Halio looks to invest or acquire new properties, and direct working interests, as well as limited partnerships, joint ventures and MLP interests. Acquisition focus will be on onshore U.S., Canadian & International oil and gas basins that show significant opportunities for future growth and consolidation. Interests are primarily focused on oil over natural gas, targeting assets that provide long-life, high-quality production with relatively predictable decline curves and low-risk development opportunities.
Mr. Casabona currently serves on the Board of Directors of PDCE Energy, Inc.

He has over 30 years experience in the US oil and gas industry with extensive background in Strategic Planning, Capital Structure, Capital Markets, Business Development, Acquisitions and Divestments. Mr. Casabona has earned extensive first-hand experience in most aspects of the energy business, including conventional (natural gas exploration, development, marketing, acquisitions and mid-stream operations) energy and renewable energy sources (Wind, Solar, CHP, Hydroelectric and Biomass). Mr. Joseph E. Casabona also currently serves as Senior Financial Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of FirmGreen, Inc. as well as other Companies active in the energy industry.
Mr. Casabona served as the Chief Executive Officer of Paramax Resources Ltd from July 2008 to December 2010. Paramax Resources Ltd engaged in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas in the United States and Canada. Paramax Resources Ltd was listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Mr. Casabona served as Executive Vice President of Energy Corporation of America from 1985 to May 2007. He served as a Director of Energy Corporation of America from June 1993 to May 2007. He joined Eastern American Energy Corporation, Inc. (predecessor to ECA) in 1985.
Mr. Casabona was a Partner of KPMG Main Hurdman since 1980 and served as Director Accounting and Auditing of its Pittsburgh office since 1983
Mr. Casabona graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and from the Colorado School of Mines with a Master of Science Degree in Mineral Economics.
Ed Davies has previous experience with Shell, Conoco, ECA, and Bridge. Countries of exploration and production experience include Canada, UK, USA, Ecuador, Nigeria, and New Zealand. He holds degrees in Geology from Wales and Alberta and in Management from MIT. He is an AAPG Trustee Associate and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
